Mixed Berry Swirl Ice Cream

Enjoy the cool taste of mixed berry swirl ice cream that you made yourself. The richness of heavy cream and the bright flavors of fresh mixed berries come together in this delicious treat, making it a great choice for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups mixed berries such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

In a saucepan, combine the mixed berries and sugar over medium heat

Cook until the berries release their juices and the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly

Then, blend the mixture until smooth

Strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds, if desired

In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, and vanilla extract

Pour the berry puree into the cream mixture and stir until well combined

Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions until thickened, about 25-30 minutes

Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer it to a container, alternating layers with dollops of remaining berry puree

Swirl the berry puree gently using a spoon or spatula

Cover the container and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours or overnight

Serve and enjoy!
