These soft and chewy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are a delightful treat that combines the goodness of oats with the richness of chocolate chips. They are perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings or sharing with friends and family.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup 226g unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
- 1 cup 220g packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups 240g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 cups 240g old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups 340g chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark
Instructions:
Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets
Softened butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar should all be mixed together in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth
One egg at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition
Add the vanilla extract and mix well
Add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon to a different bowl and mix them together using a whisk
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined
The chocolate chips and rolled oats should be mixed into the cookie dough until they are spread out evenly
Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets that have been prepared
Leave some space between each cookie
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden and the middles look a little underdone
The cookies will keep setting as they cool
After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for about 5 minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to cool all the way
